We have had such a fun day today! Everyone spent the day at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure together, running around the two parks and going on all the rides. I made sure that we were all up and out of the villas before 8am (they must all love me for making them get up early on their holiday) so that we could beat the crowds to Harry Potter World!
It worked - and thankfully we didn't have to queue too long for many of the rides throughout the day. It was quite warm, although probably not as warm as we thought before we got soaked on the log flume (thanks in part to mum putting a quarter in the water gun machine to squirt us all), and then again on the rapids. Dan's shoes squelched the rest of the day!
We managed to cover the majority of both the parks and I'd bought the Universal Photo Pass a few weeks before which we made full use of.
We got home just before 6pm and it was a mad dash to get everything set up for the Welcome BBQ.I was very thankful for all the helping hands around the villa who were willing to hang red, white and blue tissue paper stars, set up bunting, get the BBQ going and run to Walmart for last minute supplies.
