We survived snowboarding, and I just about have full movement in my shoulders back.

Snowboarding wasn't my most favourite of experiences. I had a tantrum at the bottom of the slope and had quit by 10am on Saturday morning - I thought I'd be able to remember everything from our lessons last year. Didn't quite work like that.

So I was back in the hotel room watching the Australian Open with a cup of tea and piece of tiffin while Dan went off to try some blue and red runs.

When he came back in for lunch I was ready to give it another shot - I read Becky Higgins' blog about how she cried the whole way down the mountain when she went skiing with her husband and said she'd never try again. But she did.

So with that in mind, I sucked it up and spent all afternoon teaching myself the basics again. And in the end I was able to do the run without falling down.

Dan's all set for a full-on ski holiday next. So long as we can team it with a few days in Boston or Denver I'm in. I'll take lessons this time though.
