WE WON A HOLIDAY!

So we’re a pretty lucky pair. Last summer Dan decided that he wanted to go on holiday for his 30th birthday, but with the wedding and honeymoon I said there was no way that we could afford to do anything that early on in the year.

So I decided instead that I was going to win him a holiday {never actually thinking that I would be able to really win him a holiday}. I did try though – three hours a night for two weeks I sat on my computer entering competition after competition until I got bored and quit.

And that was the last of it, until a few weeks later when I got a letter through the post from ASDA Magazine saying I’d won a trip to Orlando.

Wow. Like, WOW!

Dan didn’t believe me at first – he thought it was some kind of scam – but when they called me a few days later and sent through my booking confirmation on the Virgin Holidays website, he had no choice!

So that’s where we are off to tomorrow. Instead of spending the full two weeks in Orlando we’re going to mix things up a little and have a road trip around the ‘Deep South’; Mobile, New Orleans, Natchez, Atlanta.

We’re looking forward to eating lots of ribs, po’boys, fried chicken, crawfish and gumbo! And testing out our new GoPro.

It’ll be fun to have some new places to visit and Dan will be able to tick a few more States off his list – he’s trying to catch up to my score of 26.
