TOO COLD FOR TUBING!

The water was quite cold at Ichetucknee Springs so we didn't go tubing, but it was so pretty there. It was a bit creepy because there was only one other car in this huge car park - probably meant for around 500 cars - no Park Ranger at the gate {we had to leave a little envelope with our entrance money} and no sign of life. Everything was closed down for the winter and it was silent apart from the squirrels.

We followed the little path down to the water and found a group of 60-year-old women who were launching their kayaks - if there had been a kayak there for me I'd have jumped in!

The water was flowing so fast - which is why it must be great for tubing. I've found somewhere a bit nearer to Orlando to do it so hopefully we'll get to do that on one of our free days.

Dan got a chance to play around with his GoPro and filmed under water using his new pole that you attach the camera to. I was nervous the whole time that it would fall off!

After Ichetucknee Springs we drove through lots of 'small town America' - full church parking lots, children playing in the streets and diners on the roadside.

We headed straight for Tallahassee and went to the mall there, then drove around the campus for Florida State University. We saw the State Capitol building {the first of five on our trip!} and then headed south for Panama City.

The sun was setting as we reached the coast and the sky was red {hopefully it will be a nice day tomorrow}. We got to our hotel, watched a little Winter Olympics and then went to bed.

Today we're driving along the coast in Alabama.
