Hola from Playa Mujeres! We made it to Mexico this morning after an early flight from
Ft Lauderdale.
We spent yesterday at Magic Kingdom - Dan's personal highlight was meeting Mickey...he talked (Mickey that is, not Dan)!
We stuck to Fantasyland and Discoveryland and went on a few new rides that I'd never done before, but I won't lie, I was very upset that Peter Pan was out of action!
Afterwards we had dinner at Bahama Breeze. I had the ribs as I didn't pick them on the wedding day, but there were so many I took half of them away with me for the long drive we had down south to Ft Lauderdale.
It took us a good three and a half hours and we didn't arrive until almost 11pm. We were exhausted, so we went straight to bed in the strangest little Ramada hotel I have ever seen (there was definitely a tiki theme going on!) ready for our 5am wake up call.
This morning went well. After struggling to get our cases down to Spirit Airline's 18kg luggage allowance (Virgin allows 23kg) we were relieved to not have gone over and face yet another excess baggage charge this trip!
The flight was quick and the transfer was there waiting for us. And now here we are at the resort. So far...EXCELLENT!
